Elizbeth Long’s life was a living hell. From the depths of personal degradation, a murderous marriage, the death of a daughter, and a variety of abuse, this Oklahoma Native American woman struggled to reclaim her very reason for living. She found that the only way out of a life of alcohol, casual sex, drugs, violence, and suicide, was up.

Elizabeth A. Long was born in Garvin, Oklahoma. She attended East Central University and holds a master's degree in psychology. She lives with her husband, Terry, an artist and craftsman. Elizabeth has a Gold Belt from the Ardmore Karate Club and is a participating member of the Texas Ski Diving School. She has also ridden and raced motorcycles since she was nineteen. She loves to travel, and has lived in Mexico and visited Europe and China.
